Mr. Ronald Zalachenko
Hiring Manager
Captain Cook’s
6 Lennie Road
Farmerville, LA 49033

Dear Mr. Zalachenko:

My high school cafeteria was a busy environment, catering to over 130 students and staff members a day! And I am proud to be able to say that I made a sizeable contribution to it during my free time while studying at St. Joseph’s High School. Handling food preparation and serving duties was part of my job description, a feat that I took very seriously for the 7 months that I volunteered my services there.

Some of the areas that I now feel well-trained in include:

• Preparing food items such as salads, soups and sandwiches by following set recipes.

• Portioning and arranging cooked food items in dishes according to established serving protocols.

• Creating and maintaining a welcoming environment for students and teachers by ensuring that all cleaning and maintenance activities are carried out appropriately.

My enthusiasm is continuous, as I have been told countless times by my peers and the cafeteria manager. And I would like Captain Cook’s to benefit from this enthusiasm by offering to work as a food service worker here. I am positive that once you have met me, you too will agree that I am a highly suitable candidate for this position. I will contact you to set an appointment. Alternately, I can be reached at (999) 999-9999.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
