There is a great chance that your cover will be read if it is written in a way that appeals to a hiring manager. But that does not happen too often.
Your cover letter is your ticket to the job that you have wanted for a long time. If you have it in you, it should show up in your cover letter. If not, that too shows up in the cover letter.
What does one do?
It is not possible to write a cover letter that will appeal a hiring manager completely, but a high percentage is good enough. When you write a cover letter, make sure that the information in it is perfect from every sense.
The matter / content should be exactly what the hiring manager is looking for. And white space should be respected.

Bakery Delivery Driver Cover Letter Example
January 16, 2018
Mr. Blake Edwards
Human Resource Manager
1933 Timbercross Avenue
Glen Burnie, MD 64219
Dear Mr. Edwards:
I have been working as a delivery driver for one of the busiest bakeries in Glen Burnie, and would now like to offer the same services to Sinful Desserts. As a delivery driver, I know most of what there is to know about the work, including handling difficult orders, and managing multiple orders at the same time. To give you a more profound overview of my experience, I invite you to look through the enclosed resume.
Having spent the last 5 years working as a delivery driver for a bakery concern has polished my skills in a number of ways. Possessing exceptional comprehension of stacking bakery products in a safe manner, and ensuring that they are delivered intact is one of my special feats.
I am a dedicated professional when it comes to mapping short and effective routes to destinations, whether they are customers’ homes, or bakery items production areas. With extensive experience in using both standard maps and the GPS, I am always on time when it comes to deliveries, and can effectively create and maintain dispatch liaison to ensure that delivery information is communicated properly.
Hoping to provide Sinful Desserts with the same expertise and professionalism, I would like to meet with you in person to discuss this in detail. Thank you for your time and consideration.
